The Sylvania Outdoor Theater
Since opening in 2008, the Sylvania Outdoor Theater has become a place where young and old alike can enjoy musical and dramatic events year round.  Bring a chair or blanket to one of the many events hosted at this amphitheater throughout the year.

Savannah River Preserve
The Savannah River Preserve, located 6.5 miles west of Newington on US Highway 24, includes 1,200 acres of planted pine and hardwood forests and swamps, and is home to an abundance of wildlife.  Cabins and activity packages, including various game hunting, sporting clays and archery, are available.

Briar Creek Country Club
Briar Creek Country Club is a 9-hole course with driving range and putting green located on Country Club Road.

Tuckahoe Wildlife Management Area
Tuckahoe WMA is a 15,100 acre state-owned preserve, located east of Sylvania on Brannen’s Bridge Road.  The management area provides the public with year-round opportunities for hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, bird watching, and horseback trails.

Briar Creek, Ogeechee River and Savannah River
Screven County is blessed with abundant waterways that can provide visitors with fishing, boating, sightseeing, and other water sport opportunities throughout the year.

Shannon Vineyards & Winery
Utilizing special techniques and combinations, Shannon Vineyards & Winery produces a variety of premier red and white wines from Muscadine grapes.  Their state of the art facility, located on Highway 21 South, houses a tasting room, conference room, bar and kitchens, as well as winemaking facilities.  Wine tasting is available daily, and dinner is served on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Screven Motor Speedway
Located on South US Highway 21, the Screven Motor Speedway is a thrilling dirt track and 1/4 –mile drag racing facility.  Competitions are held every other weekend.

Sylvania/Screven Senior Wellness Center
Located at 209 East Ogeechee Street, the Wellness Center offers exercise programs, hand crafts, musical activities, educational speakers and field trips to the senior members of our community.  The Center also provides hot nutritious meals and participates in the Meals On Wheels program.

Screven County Recreation Department
Located on the Millen Highway, the SCRD is a 105 acre facility with a pool, walking trails, playground, athletic fields, picnic pavilions, and other amenities for the young and the young at heart.  The SCRD also maintains public tennis courts near the Screven County Courthouse.

Screven-Jenkins Regional Library
The Screven-Jenkins Regional Library has much to offer both adults and children.  In addition to fiction and non-fiction books of all types, the library also has videos, CDs, DVDs, audio cassettes, magazines, newspapers, MP3 audio book players, reference books, tax forms, internet access, and a variety of activities for the whole family.

Screven County Plantation Airport
Located adjacent to the Savannah River Parkway, the 1600-acre airpark is only minutes of flight time from Savannah, Augusta, Charleston and Jacksonville.  The airpark is instrument equipped, has two 5,000-foot lighted runways, provides housing for private planes and also offers flying lessons.
